George Michael Biography: Born Yorgos Kyriatou Panayioutou, George Michael, achieved fame along with his partner Andrew Ridgeley in the '80s duo Wham. Together they turned out hit after hit of their bubblegummy music from up tempo to slow ballads. By 1986 George had become the dominant member of the group, so in '87 he left to launch his solo career. This he did with his album "Faith" and its follow up "Listen Without Prejudice, Vol. 1." In 2004 he released the highly anticipated album Patience. It debuted at number 1 on the UK charts. In April of 2006 he announced a 50 date tour called 25 Live. He also announced a collaborative effort with Paul McCartney "Heal the Pain."
